I managed to find a (relatively) cheap source
of handbrake pads. They even throw in the retaining
bolts!

They are £12 + p+p + VAT from David Manners (on the
web) <www.davidmanners.co.uk/viewfull.asp?id=1227296> grand total £17-92 (does that make you
sick Danny?)

Part number is JLM9518* (the * means not Jag original)
and are made by Lucas so you might be able to get
them locally and save the p+p.

Adam,

definitely come in useful as my h/b pads tend to overheat, break then fallout most trackdays! Before you mention it, no, I do not actually apply the handbrake at all during the day.....

Glad to have saved you £60 per track day,
but perhaps it would be cheaper to remove
the pads before you go on the track....

or at least slacken off the adjusters so you
have quite a few mm clearance.
