Time Travelling Hipster - photo included!
Discussion

This photo seems to have been doing the rounds lately. It's from the opening of a bridge in the 1940s. One man seems very out of place in it!
From my learnings, I have discovered that it's not photoshopped or fake - and although it could be a time traveller, more likely it demonstrates coincidence and the cyclical nature of fashion.
More on it here: http://knowyourmeme.com/memes/time-travelling-hips...
"Given the source, we would assume the photo is authentic, and correctly dated to c.1940. Indeed, an Error Level Analysis suggests the image was not digitally tampered with, or at least that if it was, the author was smart enough to normalize the error across the whole thing. It’s a good job, if it was a job. And again, given the source, we would assume it was not a job."
Quote from the above link. I think it's a cool photo, but just coincidence. I don't believe it's shopped.

I don't get what the fuss is?
He's wearing sunglasses with acetate side sections, no big deal and entirely in period. He's wearing a sweatshirt or T shirt, and a woolly cardigan, so what? The camera looks like a nice solid period piece too.
Not everyone wore a suit and a fedora, they did have jeans and sneakers back then too.

Now that's a better link.A headline, a supposition, then read on and the article proceeds to debunk itself and negate the whole non-story, no mystery at all as it happens

It's an interesting little curiosity, in my opinion, although "Interesting curiosity - photo included!" doesn't make for quite as good a thread title
