Went out my my phone today at lunch time to take some shots using the Hipstamatic app. I wasn't expecting the camera in the iPhone 4 to be anywhere near as good as it is. The most amazing part is that there is no shutter lag as you can see from the chap in front of the squares, I was able to get him exactly where I wanted him in the shot. It's also amazing being able to process and upload straight to flickr from the "camera". I'm sure internet uploading must come to a DLSR at some point, the press must be crying out for it.

I could see the use in compacts, i feal that it wouldnt happen in SLRs as there wouldnt be room or a need. I have seen paps using the file transmitters to a lappy and then uploading.

But for phones and compacts it a good idea.

Superb! Have you PPd the colours in each pic or are these options on the camera phone?

Great pictures. There's a similar app available for those on Android called Retro Camera. It has quite a bad delay on the shutter though unfortunately, although by setting the focus to infinity it is sped up a bit. Your pictures have inspired me to try it more often so thanks for that. smile
