Hi Guys & Gals (and fellow octane drinkers)

Date from the TVRCC Calendar - Multi-regional TVR only class at York Dragway on Sunday the 8th August 2010.

I am sure if anyone wishes to try this for the first time there will be plenty of encouragement and advice available
So no excuses from anyone (unless you have a sicknote from your Mum!!!!).

Sunday 8th August at York (Seaton Ross)
TVR only Class and race lane
Only £10 to spectate all day
An extra £30 if you want to try your cars speed in a safe "Scammera-free" environment
Get an accurate 0-60 and 1/4 mile time
Bring or borrow helmet (FOC for a deposit)
Long trousers and shirts for driving for fire safety
Current Driving Licence (doesn't even have to be clean!!)
Plenty of encouragement and help
Plenty of photos and video to remember the day
A lot easier than you might think and very addictive

All TVRs are welcome to join us

PLEASE PM ME IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO JOIN US TO RACE SO WE KNOW NUMBERS
and I will send you more details by return

This is video by Kev Dunnington RO SYTVRCC of me and others doing York in 2009
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3iEep1poQ7g&fea...

Because of another Drag event at Elvington on the same date
it is expected that we will get more runs than the last TVR event at York

There is also a jet powered car at York that is hopefully running
which is one of the most awesome sights I have ever seen (especially as you can get very close at York!!!!)

Safe driving

Richard "Trickie Dickie" Lee
Secondary RO for WYTVRCC

PS. If the Dragstrip is too "High Octane" for you, then North Yorkshire TVRCC
are joining the sedate MG car show at Pateley Bridge nr Harrogate

Something for everyone on the 8th then ?!!!!!!!

Hi Martin

Will be good to see you spectating with me

Off hand I don't know of any Chimps for sale
but will keep my ears open and let you know.

I, or one of our Chimp owning members will be happy to assist
if you want someone to look over any with you.

Come along to our next monthly meet on Sunday 15th August at the Manor Golf Club Drig
(2 mins from the Railway). I am sure there will be plenty of friendly faces to help

See you soon

Cheers
Rich

Any of the PH WY guys interested in taking part in this?

Them ain aim was to get the TVR Class bumped for use of an own lane and that's still the intention, but the RWYB is open for anyone to get in on....

If things go well, I might be there assuming my standard position as drag racing photo nerd wink

Sorry Rich - I'll be busy on Sunday. At least it means I won't have to decide which to miss (TOTB or this).

Enjoy smile
