Afternoon all,

Going on a 2 week trip across Europe. Need to find something to carry 6 people and luggage (6 rucksacks).

I'm thinking people carrier territory frown

Budget of about £1k

Ebay doesn't seem to have the ability to search by number of seats, which is a pain!

Was thinking that, slightly worried there may not be enough luggage space.

May need to resort to a Galaxy...

Without a shadow of doubt, this.

Not may cars will seat 6 with luggage. Discovery or Volvo estate, both with roof racks might fit the bill.

Volvo 850SE.

You might even find a cheap T5. Family touring BTCC style!

Either way, it'll be better than an MPV or an SUV.

i'm planning something like this in a few years, my options are, people carrier (boring), sprinter, so 4 of us can sleep in it, or the only interesting mpv that seats 6 adults under a grand. The fiat multipla.

40+mpg aint to be sniffed at either

A six-door limo is the way to go, most 7-seaters don't have the luggage space once the back seats are up.

One of the writers in PPC bought a Mercedes limo to do exactly the same thing, I don't think he paid much more for it either.

PPC? Sorry, I may be being a tad thick.

Practical Performance Car (magazine)

Also, if you bought that limo you could make up some signs for the side claiming Abba have reformed and have gone on tour, just to see if you make it into any of the red-tops.

Also you could look for a cheap trailer to assist with the load carrying
