Leven Badges

anyone fitted the Leven hispec badges - how hard is it ? The front one seems obvious enough, but the back one is hidden under the carpet - do I just rip this up and stick it back on later or is there some secret method to reach the bolts ????

OH NICE!

Cut around the heat shield in the bonnet to allow you to get a ring spanner on, nice silver duct tape to cover when fitted.

Not done the rear but I would hazard a guess in the carpet removal area.

Don't forget you can get colour coordinated badges to order!

Hmmmm yes pondering now about the sparkly blue background ones - still not sure coz I quite like the original back b/g ones......hhhmmmmm.. saw a piccy on here of a Blue Cerb ( aren't they all - GCCerbera pleaser !) with blue badges and looked great....

When i changed the rear badge on my Cerbie, I had to pull back the carpet to get to the retaining nuts, and then use spray adesive to refix carpet back.

Front one is very easy and well described above. The rear causes a few cuts and scrapes because there's two skins and you need to get your hand inside a small hole to get to the securing nuts. Be careful not to drop the nuts because they'll get lost between the skins.

On the Griffith I just had to lift the carpet and the front was done for me so no help ther sorry.

Top quality products though.

Have heared that you can get kits from Craft shops if you fancy trying it yourself.Some one has on Ph but cant remember who.

the rear one you have to peel back the carpet,and fiddle about in between two skins of fibreglass.then you lose the screws and have to fiddle about a bit more.

I took the rear badge off to re-paint the black which had flaked off. It really wasn't a problem at all. Just a bit awkward (as everything is in a TVR!). I can see the front fixings with bonnet up so that doesn't look a problem either. Have now ordered new Leven badges front and back - went for the Royal Blue (dark blue) and chrome as mine is Mica Blue with grey interior. The gold would not have looked right.

p.s. - there's a shortage of front badges at the mo' so may be a delay.

Does that mean they would buy my old Chimaera badge off me.

Hubby bought me a chim 500 badge as mine only had a chim badge.which is currently sitting on a shelf in the garage.

LT are very approachable, I have a 4.3 chim, when I bought the car it had purple LT badges front and rear.

The rear one said "Chimaera 500", I didn't want to say that the engine was bigger than it is (if you see what I mean), so I spoke with Julie at LT and she did me a straight swap, for a "Chimaera" rear and a TVR front in dark blue, matching the hood.


Give them a call you have nothing to loose.

How do the front badges stand up to stone chips ? My original bage is looking a bit worse for wear (as is the rest of the nose) and might get round to replacing it sooner or later.
