Tempted by a doggy Mitzi Legnum with ABS and AYC lights on

Have I lost my mind? Logical thought is telling me to run for the hills. What unpleasantness could put these lights on and what will it cost to fix(I'm fairly handy with the spanners; is it DIYable?). Oh yes and the A/C is 'resting'.

Sounds like an abs sensor.

The car uses these to guage where the wheels are so when one goes no abs or yaw control as the car can't do it's calcs based on wheel position.
