I've recently bought myself the wireless wheel, mainly to use with Forza 3. I was wondering if any of you guys had changed the settings from default at all? It seems that when going through slow corners, once I get over a certain amount of lock, it seems like the car just immediately understeers. Anyone else experienced this problem? Is it just something I need to get used to or can it be helped through the settings?

Cheers!

Just bought one myself, also for Forza 3. Seen the same problem but thought it was just me taking the corners too fast - so interested to see the useful replies you get.

You need to adjust the dead zones, between 2 to 5% left and right and between 5 to 10 % for brake and throttle. You need to play around until you get a good setup and remember smoothly does it

Will give it a blast. I'm sure a significant part of it is my ham-fistedness! Cheers!

It can take a while to get used to. At first was slower than with the controller, then slowly started to get faster and faster. One top tip is to stick a bit of sponge under the brake pedal - I run without any aids and it makes a huge difference for judging braking.

I think the main biggest difference is that I am far more consistant with the wheel and it's more immersive as a game now as well.

Could it be that if you're understeering, you're going too fast through the corner?

Appreciated, but I mean compared to the controller. There have been certain corners where I'm certain I'm not going too fast. It's not just that the car runs wide, it's like the wheels turn too far. You can hear the front wheels skidding which I don't remember happening with the pad. I probably just need to get used to it I suppose!
