Glad they are taking it a little more serious, the Senna segment was just fantastic.

Agreed. One of the best pieces on TG recently. Its right that they do serious stuff occasionally.

I tell you what, I fking loved Top Gear tonight - the 4x4-Dakar thing I obviously have personal interest in. And the Bugatti thing was awesome. TC/CD were good too...especially the two-wheeling!! And the Senna piece was extremely moving finishing with Hammy driving Senna's car around Silverstone. I have to say, if they were looking for some external investment, that would be the episode to show.

Two bad points...

No Constantinople!! And I would have liked to see a full lap, properly filmed of Lewis driving Silverstone...although I imagine he wasn't aloud to do!

Cheers

Did the SIARPC bit take up a huge amount of time though?

Senna bit: Sycophantic. Clarkson hates F1, so who is he to wax eulogical?

I hate F1, Senna is still a legend, back from when it was still a mans sport, IMO.

That was the best top gear ever. I usually hate it, and have it on in the background, but that was excellent. That part about the amazing senna was just right.

Good work.

Plainly if his favourite driver was Giles Villeneuve he must have watched it a bit rather than just read about it. As is usually the way with Clarkson he does love everything car based, but also likes to be argumentative.

The Senna piece was fantastic. Refreshing to see it wasn't cheapened by "humour" too.

Like many, Senna was my childhood hero. As Hamilton said, I know exactly where I was when Senna died...
