Go down to The Sound for a nice relaxing few hours.
The food down there is pretty good too!

I've stayed in the Cherry Orchard in Port Erin. Was a fairly nice place, always clean and tidy, and there's a gym, swimming pool and sauna for some relaxing. Don't know how much it costs, but it has everything you need.
It's on the other side of the island to Douglas and the ferry port, but it's not a very long drive to Douglas. From what I can remember, it's quite a nice drive.
I was there for a couple of months from November >, so I'd imagine in the summer it's a bit nicer and more inviting to do some exploring.

Where does the ferry go from? What is there to do?
Liverpool (Sailing from the revamped Pier Head again so don't go to Birkenhead
Or Heysham but takes forever on the Ben my Chree.
Better to go on the Manannan from Liverpool.
Stay: Depends on budget? Everything from camp sites to the best hotel on the Island, The Sefton.
Do: What do you like doing?
Great driving roads, excellent local food and beers, lots of other sports, not just motor sports...
Or go to North and South Barrule and get spooked.
