Have a weird idea floating in my head and was wondering with the combined expertise how viable or if it could ever be implemented.
The whole idea of supercharge/turbo charge is that increasing the inlet pressure pushes the charge in rather than the vacuum pulling it. so, my idea is if we had a tank that could hold pressurised air in the boot, recharged in a regen type manner when braking with compressor used as a sort of braking aid connected to the drive train dynamically on brake pedal operation( electronic clutch type thing etc ) how big would it need to be to provide say a 30 sec 'boost' to aid overtaking or a killer 0-60 session etc.

You just need to calculate the VE of your engine and work from there. These should help:
