2006 BMW 120d

I have connected my ipod Classic through my std business stereo by plugging into the aux input with a 3.5 din to 3.5 din connector and setting the stereo to aux. The sound quality was fine until this weekend when playing tracks they sound less punchy but more annoying is the fuzzing sound in the background. I would liken it to the sound a radio makes when not tuned.I also noticed (although I don’t know if connected) that most of my preset radio stations were lost except radio 1.

Anybody got any ideas or experienced this themselves ?

Many thanks.

I use a cable which connects the bottom of the ipod and has a 3.5 socket on the other end. This is what I mean http://www.iworld.co.uk/p/Logic3_3.5mm_Audio_Cable...

I believe that the output through the earphone socket is optimised for earphones whilst all other docking stations etc... utilise the socket on the base.

OP - hope I'm not insulting your intelligence here but have you checked the cable is fully shoved in ? I did this myself a while back and if it's not quite fully in it will work but just not very well smile

I have a Griffin connector now which charges it and plays music at a decent standard.

No not at all smile
First thing both myself and swmbo tried,we even naively switched the cable around to see if that made any difference rolleyes

have just ordered one of those leads recommended above to see if that makes a difference.
