Well a month in now...

Starting to get much used to the car now. Had a trip to Bognor this weekend, had a play with an Audi TTS. Foot to the floor a couple of times and got the first light flash to change gear, first time I've got that far up the rev range since I've had her the sound was incredible!
The air con didn't seem to work very well but after I put my foot down it seemed to work fine, and became ice cold. I just saw it as a bit of give and take, I used her for what she was built for and she rewarded me will sone nice ice cold air con - good girl
Issues i've had so far:-
Exhaust rattling on chassis - sorted
High water & oil temps (regular warning beeps) - Faulty relay - Sorted (still relatively high readings but no warnings)
Carpet in footwell came loose - sorted
Sealant around rear light looking shabby - sorted
Seat belts locking - She's a tempermental so and so.
Has any of this dented my perseption of TVR ownership - Not one bit! Went in with my eyes open and expected a few issues. She's a beautiful girl and and so rewarding to drive.
Already thinking of a few mods...
Stereo Upgrade
Air Intake mod (will fit the sag fins in the air vents)
Powder Coated Engine
Exhaust
Private Plate - have seen D14 BLS - think it would set the car off nicely. Also hides her age - Thoughts on this welcome...
Just need to save the pennies now.
I'm so glad you guys pursuaded me to take the plunge! As a thank you I put my first PH sticker on her this weekend.
If anybody is reading this and thinking of getting one... DO IT!

Those two sentences are mutually exclusive! Just need to save the pennies now.
I like personal plates, but why worry about hiding the age? It is what it is, and anybody who knows a thing about TVR will know the age.
Who cares about the age? (and more importantly give a stuff about what others think!)

Glad you're enjoying it. Most of those issues sound like minor 'new owner' niggles that could affect any TVR as it changes owners (shouldn't if the last owner kept in tip top, but there are different views on what is tip top 
).
Number plate - personal choice, looks OK. I don't give a damn what age the plate looks like, but note that to the uninitiated you will make yours look like a 1987 car with this plate on.

Well my car isn't quite in tip top condition yet but I'm workingon it.
The air vent and powder coated engine mods will get done next week.
The Radio will be next, going to get one with sat nav. Don't like sticking my current one on the window.

Private Plate - this is a vanity thing but I fo feel it sets the car off and personalises that bit more.
Forgot to add - thinking of adding side speakers in the door as you can barely hear the rear ones when the luggage cover is on.

It is amazing the number of people that ask if mine is a T reg. Glad you are enjoying the car.
I've had all of your issues in my Tuscan 2 S (except high oil and water temps) rattles and loose carpets seem to be normal. The locking seatbelts drives me insane on a daily basis and am unaware of a fix.
I've also upgaded stereo and fitted private plate.
It seems all TVR owners minds work the same! Enjoy it and the sunshine.
