Guys
I'd like to pick up a specialized for the wife on the cycle scheme and ideas the best place to get a deal (I don't mind if it is last years model, the bike not the wife!)

road, mtb or hybrid? wherabouts are you?

i dont know much about cycleschemes as my employer doesnt run one but i am not sure if shops like doing sales/discounts on the scheme so check first. not many 09 bikes around so you might not get the model/spec thats ideal for the purpose.... cant see 11 bikes being any better value than 10 so have a look around now.

Guessing from the FS you mean full suspension.

Last years model will probably be the last dredges of stock by now and you'll struggle to get one in the configuration you need, though obviously if you can find one that's right, the chances are it'll be better value.

It is also dependant on which cyclescheme your company uses, some you can use a large number of stores, for others it is Halfords or other store only.

Yep it is the full sus bike, I can buy it pretty much from where I like, I got a cannondale rush 18 months ago from Evans at a good price on the scheme, but their offer bikes are a bit limited at the mo.

Try Stuart at Worcester Cycles Tel 01905 611 123
I know they do cycle to work , and are a Specialized dealer

Also I think his Mrs , Erica and her girls team got a podium on the 12hr part of last weekends 24/12
so they should know plenty about female requirements !

best of luck
