I am used to getting the renewal through with 10-20% increase over last year, calling them up and getting it for last years price. Its all part of the game.

Well I got the renewal through today. This year: £280.80 Next Year: £629.48!!!

Called them up and they were prepared to knock £50 off even though I had a quote elesewhere for £297. They seem to think I should be privileged to be with them wink oh well 8 years with them and they dont want my business wavey

Anyone else having shocking renewals through?

That is an outrageous hike!

Any reason for it?

Not a Welsh based company with a bloke dressed as a sailor type chap, is it?

They're doing their best to lose me as well this year.

None. To be fair to the customer service guy on the phone he was a bit frustrated that he couldnt do more.

Are they the ones who guarantee to beat your renewal quote if you’ve got 4+ years NCB.

Yes my 'renewaler' thought it would be a privilege to add 60%.
No interest in negotiating. Low risk driver/car/area/no bad history/full NCD.
That company just don't want to be in the business anymore it seems.
Got close to last years with 2 or 3 other companies but getting hard to get bargain quotes now.
