Other than the obvious (FSH) are there any specific things that should have been done/serviced or that I should look out for?

There is a 550 buying guide on our website which may help, a lot of what is covered is relevant to both models, look out for cracks in the top ball joint of the front hub - which seems 575 sensitive.

I would start with the air con - make sure it works properly as they often need a new compressor - secondly the aluminium does bubble so have a really good look at the car in particular look at the bonnet lip and rear arches.
Pads and discs are not cheap and wear fairly quickly if the car is driven hard so check to see how much life left
The car is very tyre sensitive and a old set of tyres (even if they have lot of life left) can make the car seem rather uninspiring but a new set of tyres makes it feel like a new car.

If the car has been looked after properly I would expect the service bills to really add up as ferrari parts are not cheap - my 550 with the same mileage has receipts of just over £35k...

Personally I would have the car inspected by whoever you plan to look after the car so that you know what you are buying.

good luck

if the doors make a clicking sounds when you open them then the door restraint belts need adjusting / replacing.

get an accurate reading on the clutch wear. If it jumps or misses a gear at all ( try it under hard acceleration) then you're looking at a new clutch anytime soon.
