That was quite a shock, having a nosey through the classifieds.
Any other 'desirables' that have gone down quick?

Great car, but:

"If you were able to order this vehicle new from Ford now it would cost in excess of £29k."

And who pays list? To buy now, my 5 year old car would cost more than twice what its worth. Stupid add statement + , quite possibly the most awful colour, ever, by any manufacturer.

Why couldn't the bloke just have bought a black one?

I hope he's learned his lesson.

There are loads of other cars that depreciate fast, and the market varies, but this is a odd one, Surely not the norm.

I like the colour. Say he paid 25k - that's not too bad for a first years ownership of a brand new car.

Love the colour. Would buy that myself if it had the sat nav & reversing camera.

I recently heard of a top spec Citroen C6 on a Citroen dealer forecourt with less than 2 years and 20k under it's belt, at less than £13k. Or put shockingly, a third of the new price.

SWMBO says I am not allowed one as they are too chavvy, apparently I could drop twice as much on an Audi or Porsche and she wouldn't care.

If they drop to nearer 10k though I will prepare a case.

The standard Focus RS does not come in black, however that green is a horrible colour.

Er, not to be a pedant or anything, that's 37k + vat, or 43.5K in real money.

Still fairly steep depreciation.

My bruvvvver paid less - but had one of those 'ford discount relative/family discount' things.

Biggest piece of Dagenham ste I've had the misfortune to set my eyes on. I ran for the hills when he offered a drive of it. The shame.

I take it you wrote on this sarcastically, or are you really that dumb?

I guess if that kind of thing is important to you then this is probably not your kind of car.

There's a world of difference between keeping an interior simple and functional and making a purposeful effort to make it tasteless. With the Mk1 and 2 Ford seemed to be hell bent on making it Sharan and Kevin friendly, for no apparent reason other than helping the thing shift in Essex.

To be fair though, if you're driving around in a bright metallic green Focus, the interior colour is hardly going to bother you smile

Thanks 10p, you've saved me the bother smile it's styled for extroverts, which to an introvert like me means it looks chavvy and garish and awful inside and out

There are lots of other reasons it's "not the car for me" though, it's wrong wheel drive for starters
