Calm down calm down! I don't own one or rave about them!

Just wondreing if anyone knows when and why the previous top of the line 'rs' Audi's became s-lines?

Just something that's been bugging me but never thought to ask

Thanks in advance
Sorry for bringing up hated cars

"RS" is the top of the range, most powerfull one, with the "S" sitting just below. "s-line" is purley a trim level that can be specced onto any audi.

no imagine. RS audis are still there, they were never replaced by s-lines which are basically just a sport spec whereas the RS are the real deal fast cars.

SE, Sport and S-Line are trim level son the normal 'A' ranges.

S is a hotted up A.

RS is a significantly hotted up S.

As a rule of thumb smile

huh, the S-line and S2/3/6/8 and RS2/4/6 models are miles apart.

S and RS models are entirely different to mainstream models and not even made in the same factories as the common audi models.

S-line is just a trim name which gets you side skirts a little badge and a couple of other "sporty" parts compared to a SE which is meant to be more luxuary.

Yeah don't go imagining the S-Line cars are powerful. You can get a 1.9tdi S-Line.

But the driver will be hoping you think it's an S or RS.

Indeed it appears the marketing department at Audi has earned their crust if the OP has been taken in.

I believe BMW do an M-Sport trim level which is pretty much the same idea.

S-Line is better though as it has more imagine.

I spend quite a lot of time on here reading various stuff, and I've seen 'imagine' come up lots lately (when referring to Audi's?), though I don't seem to have read the post where this all kicked off - I must have had a busy week at work. What's the joke with 'imagine'? Could someone fill me and link me to the post?

I'm slow I know, but give me time and I'll catch up.

A typo by S-line crazy who is a total Audi S line fan boy,

the phrase was Imagine and power rather than Image and power or something similar.

Yeah that imagine does make more sense now!
Also what's EFA?

I asked cause I've seen a few 5series with the four exhausts of the rs version, yet only had a s5 badge on them?

By the looks of things, some miserable members got fed up with S-line and started to have a go at him, hence he may have stopped posting...
