Whilst out driving the car obviously gets a few looks and i just wondered what the general etiquette was for when people are looking.
If they smile or wave, i tend to wave or nod but when they are just staring what do you do?
I dont like to just ignore them (too much like a Ferrari driver) but just staring back seems a little aggressive!!

Thoughts please smile

I imagine that driving an Ultima would give you a permanent smile of contentment on your face. So why do or be different to those who stare. Also I imagine that those that stare are doing so in total surprise on seeing such a beautiful "work or art" that is the Ultima (and also the driver...)

C'Mon Dave!

I would have thought it would be rude NOT to slow down and given the room (and checking your rear for chequered cars)either burn some rubber, or do a smokey doughnut whilst waving a royal salute with one hand???? Either way you will leave an impression!

...but just watch for that instant dialing of the mobile phone though!

Heh!

Simples Drive FASTER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Only two reasons for slowing down:

1 = Fuel
2 = Ladies

If its ladies staring - then hold up telephone number!

Ah, takes me back.

The Ultima is one of the only cars you can 'oblige' observers without looking too much like a total knob.

If passing:

1) Watch for the window to wind down (this is the ticket to freedom of expression smile)
2) Pull up alongside
3) Turn head to left.
4) Gauge expression/reaction

if +ve:

5) Nod slowly, in a 'yeah, I know' fashion.
6) Look back dead ahead.
7) Drop a cog (with blip)
8) Nail it...............

If being passed:

1) Do nothing.
2) Repeat 'If passing' proceedure.

HTH smile

PS - Miss that in the Pork. Just look like a knob, regardless............

9) feel for your wallet with you left hand, and try to remove that look of shear horror as you see those little twinkly blue lights come on inside the grille of the car behind!..eek.....whistle
