As some of you know,i tend to be easily swayed to get a new car after only owning a current one for a few months, and that such time has come again.
Would i be disapointed swapping a 996 turbo for a TVR Sagaris?
I did originally want to swap for a Noble but after test driving i dont think i could live with it.

DO IT! It'll keep you on your toes and ignore what all the people who haven't owned a late TVR say about them I'm 5,000 miles into my 56 plate TVR ownership and it has started every time! Really. I know it's hard to believe but no push starts, no AA lorries and no breakdowns

Sorry, that post was rshed (tea was burning)
Ive owned my current car for a few months, and althought there is nothing wrong with it,im after a change. As mentioned above,i was originally going to go for a Noble, but after test driving one,i dope think i could cope with it day-to-day,did seem a bit too basic, so question is,would i be disapointed with a Sagaris?
None of my cars are ever taken on a track,so track handling isnt an issue.

Disappointed? If you like the shape of her then no, they are fast, sound nice and are pretty well stuck on the road... I think you'd be delighted rather than disappointed - BUT of course the best thing to do is go and test drive one to be sure (as sure as you can be that is).

You'd absolutely love it. A truly special car with an x-factor that no 911 (GT2 RS excepted) can match.....and guess what, contrary to what Joe dimwit Public says, they don't break down either.

I've got a T350, it ain't a Sag but most will tell you it's not far off...I really would suggest just get out in one with a fellow local PH'er or at your local TVR specialist (take some deposit money if you choose this way biggrin).

There's a fair few guys in the Tamora, T350, Sag forum that have swapped from 911's (I've only driven a 996 Targa and been catapulted into my seat in a 997G2 Turbo so am no expert) so maybe seek some advice in there?

Thought about a GT3 or RS?

You might be a tad disappointed with niggly build quality in a Tiv, although smiles per mile will outweigh that for some time.

I can't comment on how they drive but to look at they are absolutely stunning, I doubt you'd be dissapointed.

for only a few months you seem to spend an excessive time planning. I would just buy one and get it off your chest.

Lets be honest dave...they do.

Anyway, OP, for still I believe the only published owner roadtest/write up of a Sagaris, google auto-journals and Sagaris. There you will find 2 articles by a bloke who did 19,000 miles in his Sagaris and doesnt spare the truth.

OP - Again why don't you ask the people who know - i.e. people who have owned them or still do. I can't see any point listening to people who have made up their opinions from little first hand experience...
