Just sooooo glad to be moaning about something other than my Clutch 
The Guard under the engine; which way round does it go ?
I removed it when I was changing the water pipes and thought I'd stored it in its original position but when I came to remount it, I felt that the sump fins were pressing on the cut-out too much and remounted it the other way. Now I've been under the car for 2 months I've looked at it quite a lot and have thought that the cut-out should be on the nearside, where the oil filter is, and not on the offside, where the pump is.
Can anyone confirm ?
