Hi
swapping my Gallardo Spyder for a 430 Spider shortly, and wondering whether an exhaust system is going to be too loud for regular use. It's hard to get a handle on them and I haven't heard many 430's with Tubis or the like out there, anyone got any thoughts? Also has anyone had any of the remaps available done? Have mapped most of my cars and they seem to be all the better for it so can't believe a 430 wouldn't benefit, but you never know....

Oh and PS there are a few I've seen with slightly lowered fronts. As standard they do look a bit high riding though at least they get over stuff, never took the one I had for a while before on the track so don't know if it makes a difference to drop it, any ideas?

To help I have heard 2 360s side by side. One with an aftermarket exhaust and one without. The one with the aftermarket exhaust sounded much better and didnt drone too badly when I was following it. I guess the noise difference in the 430 would be much the same.

Yup I've heard 355s and 360s but they both seem to benefit a lot from it, whereas the 430 isn't that bad to my mind to start with - just could be a bit beefier at the top end. Having said that don't want it so loud I can never get it on a track day..

My opinion, the first and most important upgrade is to have the car correctly setup to reduce the understeer in the car by having the geo and ride height altered. Have just had mine done and its seems to have transformed the handling.

Exhaust .... I like the stock, as its both quiet and noisey when you need. Cruisng at sixth gear at 70 mph you can actually hear the radio !

Scuderia Systems have lots of other upgrades if you need them from styling bits to engine enhancements. Be warned, modifying Ferraris is not cheap! Enjoy.

Who did you have the geo/ride height done by?
