Are performance Diesels welcome here?

We do love our petrol engines here, and PH (at least editorially) will continue to favour the cars that are deemed less 'politically correct' as a rule. That said, cars like the 335d and suchlike are certainly interesting, and fast too.

In all seriousness, the warmness of the welcome depends on the attitude of the owner rather than the car they drive.......unless it has been 'enhanced' by Halfords

I was going to reply by saying that I have no problem with the Audi LMP diesels, but then I realised I do - they aren't noisy enough!

i have a remapped subaru impreza diesel so interesting as only boxer diesel engine in the world lol

Truely big/powerful diesels tend to be 6 cylinder although there are a few V8s around.

A diesel makes perfect sense for daily lugging and commuting, and hawling your petrol toy to and from race tracks.

I think the moral of the story from the other thread is that they're fine if they're attached to a car that's particularly interesting, and they're fine for a daily driver with a bit of poke

I am a member of both the performance Diesel and Petrol camps, So I feel safe to tell you that my Diesel is a 6.6l V8 with 498bhp and 968ft/lbs

I love my Diesel
