2 x switches under ash tray near gear stick???

hi i was wondering if any one could help me out i was taking my dash apart on my astra mk4 bertone convertible to get it sprayed up when i seen to wires connected to a block and there were 2 separate blocks connected to a blanking strip between the gear stick and the ash tray any ideas??

Only a guess - heated seat switches?

got fabric seats at the minute so means new seats if i wanted them to work would it?

Yup, wiring for heated seats, I think there's a guide on the Astra Owners Clib site for wiring them up.
I don't know if it was only the leather seats that were heated - I've got cloth seats in mine and also don't like heated seats so have never looked into it.

the wiring to connect up a traction control switch might also be hidden down there
