New Discs

I need a set of new discs for the front of the T350, been looking at the Power 322mm at £338.74 for two, what are peoples thoughts on these? Are there any other options on the market?

I have 322mm discs already on the car, just want to know if there any alternatives?

loads of options you just need to hunt around.

I have a set of bells made for the front and back of mine at the moment. Using a bepoke machine rear rotor but made from a AP disc, the front disc is a AP racing item both front and back are slotted. The fronts are the same size as you have got.

I was going to change to six pot fronts from AP but my piggy bank is empty so that will be next year but I have found someone with the fight bracket design ready for them.

I pick them up tomorrow night so should be able to tell you how they are very soon, if I can do everything I need to do at work then I will put them on track on Tuesday. (BTW - nothing wrong with powers if you go that route)

Running with Tuscan S 322mm discs with F4 pads and think the result is absolutely fantastic. Only downside is they squeal a bit and the brake dust is very aggressive. Initial bite when cold is quite acceptable in my opinion.

I am guessing you are meaning Mintex F4s? Great pad as you say and also as you say very very noisy

I am guessing you are meaning Mintex F4s? Great pad as you say and also as you say very very noisy

As you say Paul, noisy, but worth the trade-off.

I have S 322mm discs but I have redstuff pads and they are ripping the s##t out the discs and they squeal, I see you can get shims to stop the squeal but not sure if they will work? I don't really want to go mad so I may just replace 322's with the same but change the pads?

Many now swear by Ferodo DS2500 pads, miles better than EBC cheapo 'stuff'; good bite when cold, hard enough to last well at the odd trackday without eating discs but hardly ever squeal (only just after using hard on track sometimes when dust has built up)

Ahem, yes mine squealed. Currently on Mintex 1144 which are a normal fast road pad and no good for track work, no track work booked for 2010 though. DS2500s are good though. The next option is one I've not tried yet, Carbon Lorraine something or other (I believe PHer Brummie is their supplier). These are over twice the price of Ferodo DS2500s though.

I agree - I got DS2500s fitted to mine at the last service (1000 miles ago) and once bedded in the bite is great, no sign of any fade and work well from cold with no squeal.
