I use Jim Biggam in Paisley - good bloke - drives a nice VXR8 and has high standards with his repairs.

'A for Audi' in Clydebank - awesome group of chaps.

I'm sure they have an approved body repair guy? Give 'em a tinkle smile

Well, there's no naming and shaming but I'd be careful about going up near a Castle for Milk, as there's a place up there that didn't do a great paint match on my old C-Class, the flakes in the metallic seemed to sit the wrong way so in sunlight it was very obvious the car had had paintwork done.

I've used Ferrymill in Torrance, big outfit, did great work for me a few years ago and the finish is still lasting well, good price and discount for paying cash, have also done work on my bro-in-law's C Class recently, looks perfect.

+1 again. Popped round late this afternoon to see if they can sort out some scratches on the Porker. They did a great job on the front end last year at a very good price...for cash, Rodney!

Thought I'd update you having picked up the motor this evening. I am so impressed with this outfit second time around that I thought I would give them some publicity. What has impressed me about Ferrymill is their attention to detail and customer service. The quality of the respray and bodywork is first class and this is particularly noticeable because of the Midnight Blue metallic colour which shows up every mark and blemish very easily. Perhaps if it had been silver or a light colour I maybe could live with the odd mark if the light didn't seem to highlight it so sharply but some of my fellow PH'ers will know how these sort of things annoy you every time you look at your car and simply because you know they are there (or maybe I'm just peculiar). So having taken the car in to get some scratches caused by my 3 year old investigating the volcanic ash that had collected on the spoiler and scratching the paint deep enough for me not to be able to rub it down and polish out (her broken fingers will recover in a month or so...!) and also to sort out a dent above the arch which has annoyed me for years I got this work looked at at very short notice and delivered the car two days later. I dropped the car off and they delivered me to the station and I came back after the weekend. Not only was the car delivered in perfect condition but Robert explained the process that had been followed with great enthusiasm and obviously has many years of experience and the original respray/bodywork quote of under £300 was reduced by £80 (after the work was done) because some expected painting wasn't required in the end. How often do you get that? I had agreed on the price and he could have kept to the original fee which was much lower than other places I looked at anyway. He took time to call me and identify what needed to be done and sought my agreement throughout - nothing was too much bother and if I was being a little over cautious in wanting extra bits done (stone chips etc), he told me what needed to be done and what he didn't need to charge for - I just felt that I got a really excellent service, I don't feel in the least bit ripped off and I would trust him to do any respray or bodywork on my 911 every day of the week. Big thumbs up fellas - many thanks. OJ;)
