The irony is that they're supposed to be "toy" versions of expensive watch brands as a kind of rebellion against Western values, yet as cheap, colourful, plastic watches go, they're f
king expensive. You can get similarly styled watches for a tenth of the price.
Just like all watches!

The Toy Watches version is just under £200 for what seems almost identical to the Sekonda

Ghastly pieces of s
t bought by wannabes and plebs.
But they're not worn by wannabes. That's the whole point. Or am I missing something? I thought celebs wore them as a rebellious statement.
t bought by wannabes and plebs. That's how I see it anyway.
Either: Overpriced plastic s

What if the watch is worn by a fictional spy....

Well done on totally missing the point. The watches you're referring too aren't plastic tat akin to junk found in the reduced section of Argos.
At want prices point do you stop being a pleb and become discerning when you buy a watch that was made popular by a celeb. As for the price point, are you trying to say that all those watches with ETA movements are value? Poor value for money is rife in the watch industry.
Some of these Toy Watches are for sale at well over £1000!!!!!
I kid you not; I saw some of these in Selfridges.
At up to £50 they are a reasonable fashionable and disposable jewellery item, dress jewellery has it’s place and a lot of women like all that, but when they are running in to the hundreds and thousand pound plus bracket then…jeez, you’d have to be crackers to buy a watch that looks like it came from a cracker!
