Is there any way of finding out how long a house has been on the market and at what price?

I note some agents date their brochures ( a few), and usually the time of year the pictures were taken is a clue I guess?

I have recently started using Street View to see if the For Sale sign was up when the van went passed and Zoopla give a date that the house went on Zoopla, and how many views it has had in the last month (but I think that is recent as they all seem to have been put there in the last month). Zoopla alos tell you how many people have viewed on Zoopla in the past month. I did Google and find one house which had been the subject of a dated local newspaper interview where the price at that time was mentioned.

Any other ideas?

If you use PrimeLocation or Rightmove you can install propertybee which will monitor all the changes to a property whilst it's on the site.

I've always found this information easy to get out of the estate agent to be honest.

I guess you simply ask?

How long has it been on the market? Has it been on at a previous price? Wil they tel you if there has been previous offers?

Just seen one place reduced by £10K, but it was from £895K to £885K, but abother was F100K off.

Try home ; it's what I use show time on market and any changes in price. Put postcode in a find all homes in that area, and there is a price history link.

Propert Bee looks good although it isnt retrospective, ie it logs it when you first go to view.

I will try the other sites, thanks guys

propertysnake.co.uk

use your postcode an it gives property, original price, current price, % change and No. of days on the market.

If you click on the property it gives a detailed breakdown of each price change.

Doesn't help if it's been on the market more than 12 months though.

If you join a property bee (can't remember exact details on the option) it will show entire history - not just from when you first log on.
