Hi all,

My brother has an e36 328 Coupe Sport Lux with the wider rear tyres.

The rears are shot and need replacing, the fronts look OK but are Michelin something or others that were apparently OEM on M3s and haven't been manufactured since the late 90s so he's going to get a full set.

What sort of tyres are people using that are good on these (bearing in mind the wider rears)?

He was thinking about Toyo T1-Rs but has been warned off directionals by a tyre place...

there was a massive debate about this on the ///M barge O/T thread when i asked. think some said Michelin PS2's were best, other said cheaper ones were just as good.

i dont think there is a tyre that is particularly suited to the car, i'd go on personal experiences and steer clear of P6000's

T1R very good IME, if anything maybe a little too soft. PS2s are nearly twice the price but are ultimately the best tyre.

I think he's gone for the T1Rs - are the Falkens that good? I had them earmarked for a try when the Toyos are worn out on my Saab 900 T16S.

I meant to recommend Camskill but he gets a discount from Blackcircles I think.
