I know, I know you cam never guess the weather. But I have a chance of a last minute trip this weekend ! Leaving mid day Sat. 'Ring only open on Sunday so will only be there from when it opens 08:00 Sunday morning till I have to dart back for a 21:00 eurotunnel home.

Anyone local have an idea if it's worth the 7 hour drive each way for 8-12 laps ?

The been many times before but can't remember the best weather site.

Thanks

Looks like the odd light shower. Slow, wet laps are just as much fun though - definately worth the trip!

Enjoy!

Take the 'wrong line' through every corner and moderate your speed, and youll be alright.

Agreed. We were there last Sunday evening where it drizzled around five and all the locals went home. We were the last ones on the track and it was fantastic to have the circuit to ourselves.

I hate it in the wet, even on the 'wet line' it's still slippery as hell.

One thing you can't predict at the 'ring is the weather, if you've got a chance to go, just go.

It's 'kin horrendous in the wet. I don't think I have been on any track as slippery, when wet. However, it's a good time to learn and respect. I wouldn't think twice about going out in the wet, but just know that you need to take care. (Also a good opportunity to try different tyre pressures/setups on your car if you have the opportunity).
