Hi folks

Mrs Eltax and I are currently in the process of moving house. We found a possible development project yesterday, with ample rear gardens and virtually no worries on planning. The existing garage is going to get toppled - as much to allow for a clearing of the garden as to change the garage. So, what I'd like to do would be to price up options for garages. I want to put a lift in it eventually, so it needs to be fairly high.

So, I'd like to know ball-park figures for erecting such a garage, just the bare-bones will do for now, like concrete, walls, doors and a roof - kit will be obtained later.

Dimensions will be roughly 15' W 30' L and 10' high, with maybe some extra height in an apex roof. I'd like rough idea's how much it's going to set me back to build it in brick, then alternatives in a cheaper material, breeze block maybe?

So, anyone any odea's, I know it's asking a lot but you don't get if you don't ask right. biggrin

Have a look at these.
I have a 22 by 24 garage on order with them from the Royale range with 2 extra windows, extra height and modified front spar for electric door for just over 5k.....

Depends on what you want it to look like really. Block would be cheapest, putting the roof on will be one of the biggest expenses. Wouldn't do any harm either to get the dimensions of the lift you wish to put in, you'll buy a decent 2 post for about 2K new. Couldn't advise you on your dimensions but as a rule of thumb on a project I looked at last year about 10K would put foundations in and take a 1200 sq Ft house upto roof level in blockwork.
