Is what I was doing this morning after a little incident driving to work.
Driving along on the A15, nice wide A road, sat at 60 when as the road straightened out slightly I saw an artic pull in after overtaking a tractor, fine I primed myself to react 'just in case', then the car behind followed suit, I still had plenty of space but this time I eased off the accelerator a bit whilst calling him a knob
Then f
k knuckle behind decides to pass the tractor as well resulting in me having to swerve over to my left and over my N/S white line, as he pulled back in the time gap was easily less than a second.
Thankfully I had plenty of space to move over but Jesus, you really should not be making an on-coming motorist swerve out of the way unless it is a genuine emergency move.
That's as close as I've come to being wiped out in a very long time, not a nice feeling and all the worse for it being a completely stupid move by the other driver, I'm just glad I eased off beforehand which may just have given me enough road space to avoid a BMW in my grill!

Phew glad you're OK!
Sometimes you just feel a "little tap on the shoulder" and you know something's up. It's happened to me so many times I've lost count!
When I read "The Daemon" by Anthony Peeke it put across a great idea about what's going on in that kind of situation.
Put simply, last time you might not have made it.
Glad you did this time though.
