3.0 or 2.5

Looking at the exterior of M12 engine alone, what are the tell tale differences between a 3 ltr and a 2.5?

I think original 2.5s have no visible exhaust, because it exits out the bottom of the diffuser.

IIRC the dipsticks are in different places. On the 2.5 it's almost tucked against the drivers side bulkhead and very awkward to pull out. I think the 3.0 is better placed further up the engine.

good point the coils were seperate on the 2.5

I think you are confusing inlet manifold with exhaust bracket.

No I think that part of the car was also an issue re cracking or breaking!! Having said that my comment was a little tongue in cheek which you obviously missed

Incidentaly its a wonderful car and I don't care if it was all made of chocolate!!
