Plug lead replacement

As the forum Search facility isn't working at the mo, apologies for a simple question :

Just about to replace the plug leads on my 4.5. As without removing
anything they are completely hidden from view I just thought I'd ask if there
are any tricks/short cuts/things to be aware of, to make the job as easy
as possible?

Only replace one lead at a time rather than taking them all off. Saves marking which lead went where.

For a 2001 4.5

Remove the 2 x 3mm Allen screws at the front of the F2 panel, slide forward about 10mm and remove (Watch out for the Windscreen washer supply pipes)

Take the 3 x (4mm - I think) Allen screws out from the front and rear Airbox Mounting brackets (Don't forget he two breathers underneath the driver's side airbox = which are pull/push fit)

Mine doesn't have jubilee clips from the airboxes to the induction hoses but if yours does then remove them. Then remove airboxes.

Undo the jubilee clips which retain the induction hoses to the inlet stubs and remove hoses.

Cover inlet stubs to stop anything untoward dropping in.

Replace HT leads (and plugs)

Takes about 96 seconds (according to ridds' watch )

The HT leads can be difficult to get off....may be worth wrapping wire around the rubber bit to get some leverage to pull them off?

Are you replacing the plugs whilst you are at it?
