Newbie - Anything going on in Scotland?
Discussion
Hi all,
I am new to the site and I am looking forward to getting invloved in TVR related stuff.
Always loved the idea of owning a TVR but now I definately want one. The decision as taken after I saw a gorgeous Tuscan at a track night (ran by my Porsche club at Knockhill). Had just started up in business at that point, so financially was out of the question.
Will be in a position to start seriously looking next spring, so now wanting to get some of the "homework" underway and get involved.
Is there anything TVR related happening in Scotland?
I have come across a NE Scotland club. Just waiting for a reply to an email to see if Porker owners will get stoned to death before I get involved!!
Nice to be here

There is a Yahoo mailing list specifically for the C(K)eltic (Scotland and Ireland) TVR regions which you could join.
This has most of the discussions regarding local TVR events, meetings etc.

There's lots going on in TVR/TVRCC circles in Scotland...you just missed karting on Sunday, there's mini-bikes first Saturday in April before the regular Kirkcaldy meeting [why not come along?]. Cami [Glasgow] is trying to organise a big TVR get-together and photo shoot to coincide with the regular Glasgow meeting next Sunday. There's track sessions coming up at KH etc etc etc....
Have a look at the diary on www.TVRCC-Scotland.co.uk, or visit the newsgroup [link from first page of site]. Suggest you maybe come to one of the regular monthly meets.

gem_man said:Hi Adrian, I approved your request yesterday - so you should be on the list now. There's not that much traffic (Idle banter etc) on the email list apart from events like Karting, trackdays, blasts in the country etc.
Thanks KJR
Thats me signed up and waiting for membership approval.
All the best

What did you get? I come to aberdeen at least once a week. Maybe we can meet up at some point for a coffee and a chat...... and an oggle!!
Adrian
oggle at mine as well on your way to aberdeen if you take the perth to forfar road instead of going through dundee, thats when i get it back from the garage of course
Thanks for all the replies chaps.
Zazwaldo: Great!! I will contact you at som point and meet up. Was in Aberdeen today but it was a crazy day so I knew that I would not get a chance to play. I dont use a garage in Perthshire. I still have a Porsche at the moment (944 2.7 1990). For the record I use Brian Miller in Edinburgh. He knows all there is to know about this car.
William and KJR: Thanks for the advise I have acted on both.
PerthsireGriff: Thank you for the offer. I will take you up on that soon. Look forward to meeting you.
Giff2be: Duly noted. See you there!
