whats the record for highest mile car you've been in

[entwisi]

I tend to drive higher mileage cars than most and up to now was reasonably proud of the > 200 Ks on most of my old stuff but I am currently in Portugal with work and the taxi from the airport was a old 190D. Out of interest I had a shufty at teh odometer that showed just shy of 700K KMs on it...

So what car have you been in that holds the highest mileage.

Old Merc in Morocco had 870k on it, not bad!

[550Hep]

Recently was in a E class airport taxi in Spain with 650+km on the odo.... Even a few of the local relatively new (circa 5 years ish) diesel people carrier taxis I got in while there were well north of 300k which was an eye opener as from the big 15 year old Mercs you kind of expect it but with a euro-s**tbox and the abuse they would get doing 300 clicks worth of Spanish city driving would kill them stone dead. But I have to say they all seemed in half decent nick (for taxis!).
