Evening All,

Read loads of negative things about this sort of tuning box (just a resistor in a case!!!) but cant help thinking......is it worth a £69 risk?

item no: 220514259031
seller: theitalianbox

The customer feedback looks pretty positive (obv. many people have left feedback before fitting doh!) but overall people appear pleased with the result.

Opinions/experiences welcomed...

It'll be a resistor in a box that plugs in between the Fuel rail pressure sensor and the ecu, telling the ECU the rail pressure is lower than reality, so it'll boost it back up to a new higher pressure.

thanks, but do they actually work?

how can they claim to improve mpg if the effectively trick the ECU to use more fuel?

They will work, but in a more sledgehammer-to-crack-a-nut way.
With the extra fuel, you'll get an increase in torque, and the extra pressure can help atomise the diesel spray.

With the extra torque you'll get, you find you have to spank the engine less, so driven like for like, your MPG will probably increase.

Drive it hell for leather and you'll get worse mpgs than before (and a James Bond style smoke screen)
