cruising up m-way ,nice peaceful 85,engine misses,all electics fail ,(pitch black moorland),no lights,no anything, suggestions please
Main 100 amp fuse blow?
It's situated on the drivers side of the oil sump.
About centre of the sump alongside where the sump bolts to the engine. (well it is on my 98 Chim)
It's a little plastic box with a screw lid.

Sounds like a dead alternator to me. You don't always get a warning light with faults. Is the battery flat? Will the engine start from a good battery?
battery goosed,caused by main feed to starter rubbing on chassis,shorting out ,cooking cables behind dash.good news is, as dash is all over workshop floor,i have ordered me a leven stainless steel dash,to replace walnut one. will post piccies upon its return from the doctors
