Hi there

My brother will be putting his up for sale soon. Sterling grey (graphite colour) with black leather sports seats, nav, Carver stereo, multi function steering wheel, aluminium cabin trim, approx. 40,000 on the clock, only the second owner, Falken 452s all round. It's a very nice example with lots of extras on. On an 04 plate. Feel free to PM me and I can put you in touch.

Im in exactly the same situation! I found one I liked 04 plate, 45k miles took me for a drive in it. That 3.0 straight 6 is incredible! Then he started getting a bit awkward when we spoke about the roof not working correctly. I know the motors have problems. He then told me some guy had offered him 300 more than what it was up for?! confused

So why waste my time then!

Anyway im also now in the market for a 3.0 04 plate around the 9k mark!

They do have an issue with drain holes getting blocked and killing the roof motor, expensive to fix too!

Loads of info on the z4 forum smile

Sorry to hear about your predicament, you should definately get your deposit back; the car simply wasn't as described, just say you'll be speaking to trading standards if they start getting funny with you.
Re finding a car, check the Z4-forum classifieds section as mentioned above or you could even contact the forum rep at Sytner's.

I brought a 03 3.0 with 50k on the clock and lots of extras for under 9k so they are out there.

however yes my roof did break, it's bmws great idea of putting the roof motor in the drain hole. so so stupid. I brought the parts and its weekend fix for a tool retard, less if you know what a spanner is. new motor is £250.

be prepared to travel far to look for them. if it's within 50m of Taunton I'm happy to check one out for you.

Well i got one im so chuffed with it, picked up from coventry. Black, leather, FBMWSH, quite a few other toys! Got insurance for 2350 in the end which is a bit on the high side but hey! will upload a photo later.

P.S - I got a quote for some tyres and they were 261 quid each? is this correct?

Yeh that was for Bridgestone potenza runflats, driving on cobbled roads is rather bumpy with the runflats!

I'm also looking for a 3.0 z4 manual for my wife.

have seen 5 so far which have all been stters....

We have 10k, and are looking for a straight, with unmarked 18"s in a dark colour with FSH (specialist is fine). A major issue with me is parking dings... can't stand them!

Get in touch if anyone has a nice one in surrey /SW London
