I need a new stock ecu for my '96 Griffith...

I've found what was the problem for my last Griffith malfunctions, the standard ecu, when hot, does not send the signal to activate the fuel pump thus the engine dies.

The guy who's taking care of it told me that to repair the ecu would cost me around 200 Euros, would it be a better alternative to buy one new? How much will it cost me and where could I find one new or maybe one in pristine conditions?

Have you checked that the fuel pump relays are the correct type? They are Bosch with a series rectifier in the coil circuit to prevent damage to the driving circuit (ie ECU) Someone on here had incorrect relays and it blew his ECU. Better to check than risk blowing a replacement!
