Any help here would be appreciated. I've just been to Halfords and tried 4 different baby seats and they were not fitting properly in rear and did not inspire me with confidence (9 month old son).

We have a Britax Duo Isofix in the wife's RX300 but that overhangs the rear seat when we try in C4S.

Am I going to have to buy the Porker child seat or can anybody recommend a good alternative??

We want to take the bairn in the porker and the wife's RX handles like jelly compared to my new wagen.

Recaro make a very nice seat which does from 12 months to 12 years. I don't know about it's Porker-suiability though.

I have the porsche car seat which i could be tempted to sell. Been used only 2 or 3 times. Would take £70, its black bolsters with a grey check centre, like the current one.

Alternatively you should try a Klippan Futura which fits fine in a 996. Our 9 month old has travelled many miles in his and it fits very securely.
