HKS Turbo kits...
Discussion
I looked the the HKS kit a fair few years ago before i got my supercharger. They are reasonable kits in basic form (About 170-180 BHP from a £2k kit on a 1.8 NB) it uses a T25G sleeve bearing Garrett turbo ultimately capable of about 240bhp. The manifolds were well know to split if relief cuts were not made and the kit didnt provide any pipe work for using water cooling on the turbo, but that can be added quite easily iirc.
If you want more power from the basic setup you would need an intercooler and a full ECU/injectors (The F-Con mini is not up to anything past the standard kit). It's not a bad kit but not all that many were sold in the UK.

My car was running the exact same set up when i picked it up and it was RR'd at 169@the fly (none intercooled). Which to be honest gave more than sufficient performance.
If you want to go further than that you'll need to fit an FMIC, swap the F CON mini for something with more adjustability and some injectors.

OP - I'm only in MK if you want a spin.

I thought I read somewhere that you'd moved to MK... how are you settling in?
I live in Leighton Buzzard but work in Shenley Wood (and at the Flying Fox on the A5 at the weekends)
Been here 9 months now! Lived in 4 flats since I've been here but finally settled in at Campbell Park. MK is an aquired taste, but i like it. The road network makes so much SENSE!I live in Leighton Buzzard but work in Shenley Wood (and at the Flying Fox on the A5 at the weekends)

I always seem to leave MK on a different road to the one I arrived on.
Must be time for PH beers again
