Spark Plug Boot Insulators

I'm about to buy some of these to protect the boots of my nice new HT leads.

They are 3/4 diameter and come in 4.5, 7.5 and 12 inch lengths.

Just want to double check something with you before I phone them while I am in the mood to spend money and before my Yorkshire gene grabs control again.

Will 3/4 diameter go over the plug suppressor?

From memory I think it will go over the top half up to the 45Deg bend but the bottom half will be too fat.

In which case it will be 7.5inch lengths to cover the suppressor and the plug boot ?

Are these to be used with or without the shrouds.

They are just to protect everything from the heat as I'm a bit paranoid about it having lost an ignition amp which get killed by the heat.

The car is running nicely so I'm not going to change anything just for the sake of it.
