Any glass experts?

Hello,I have a TVR T350 which has a glass rear tailgate with no frame. The glass is a bit uneven around the edges, nothing serious, but could do with a bit of reshaping were the corner rads meet the straights.I have asked around and a few people have told me it is not possible to grind/sand//polish toughened glass.Does anyone know of any other way it could possibly be done? Thanks in advance for any info.Regards,Steve.

you can shave a few mm off toughened glass, but i doubt it would look very good, and working on a corner would more than likely break it.live with it or buy a new piece.

Smithers, out of interest, how much did you manage to 'sand' and how did you do it?
It was no more than 2mm, and it was on a 17mm worktop where the numpties had specced the wrong tap hole, so larger tap hole required. very slow moving drill with a small grinding bit and lots of lubricant. The expectancy was it was going to break, so nothing to lose.Like I said, toughened glass 'can' be altered a very small amount, but not without risk.
