Hi all!

I've put last wednesday a deposit for an 2011 march delivery EVORA with open specs until 10/09/15.
The dealer said the satnav will be upgraded at this time, and the cr box is not so good because very loudy.
The "high power" S will be available soon and not so more expensive. (sportpack and cr inclusive).
Do I have to choose "class" or "sport" colour ? - 1) Persian Blue 2) Liquid Blue 3) Carbon Grey 4) Quartz...

I test drove yesterday and i was very impressed with the car . I decided to hold my deposit for the moment and see what is unveiled at the motorshow . Dealer told me delivery in march for the 's' shouldnt be a problem. (which suits my situation fine)

I have the CR box (and Lotus sports exhaust) and I would not say that it is loud at all. The beauty of the Evora is that you have a sports car that you can easily have a conversation held at when you at travelling at motorway(ish) speeds.

It good for new purchasers but dissapointed at Lotus if they are offering the Evora S at a small increase in price over the base Evora and so soon. So much for all the comments that it would be a number of years away and to keep the existing owners happy (i.e. the ones who purchased an Evora at the beginning and bought into the ethos of a new product).

They did the same with the Europa S and SE. It will be interesting to see how the new Evora model is priced.

Totally agree with the 'looking after customer thing'.

My CR box isn't noisy at all, and IMO it needs to be spec'd for resale.

CR box is a must, so is Sports Pack, Sports Exhaust, and Tech Pack.

Premium pack isn't needed IMO.

They announced the (approximate) dates for the Evora S when they launched the car two years ago - it's really not a surprise. If they stick to their schedule, the convertible should follow on from that in 2012 (launched at the Paris motorshow next year?).

so a decently specced base evora is about 55k. going off that i reckon the evora s will then come in about 60k lightly specced, whilst the evora s convertible will be about 65k.

i actually think they're all about 10k overpriced but at the same i feel that lotus can carve out a niche at this price bracket. looking forward to what the paris motorshow brings.
