Always wanted one and this looks fantastic. Nice V8, classic looks and rather big.

How do you park something like that in the UK?

But then again I suppose you just ram everyone else out of the way

someone I know tried to cross the sahara in this blazer

this is us towing it out of the sahara, in a small volvo, because of the following failures :

lost 4th gear on the auto box
lost 3rd gear on the auto box
chassis came apart from the body, needed welding back on
one of the injectors shorted, needed to be wired up to the fan switch to give fuel (only variable resistor in the car) http://www.flickr.com/photos/5lab/382656546/sizes/...
big end bearings went

it'd had a lot of time and effort spent on it pre-rally. our volvo didn't even get a service. having got it most of the way to africa, I'd be happy if I never saw one again

If you're going to have a big 4x4 you might as well go the whole way and get a Suburban

For an idea of scale, those are also 44" tyres.

The blazer isn't actually that large. It's about the same size as a Frontera.

Keeping on American muscle, I have always had a yearning for a Chevy Nova.

You'd need to fit a gun rack on the back of the the cab for that 'authentic look'

Have to admit though, at that price it would be a laugh!

Awful vehcles, what you really want is a Bronco for the genuine OJ feeling.

re: big 4x4 what you want is a TRD Tundra or a Ford F150 SVT Raptor.

Yeah but he wasn't the kind to kiss & tell smile

I like the older pickups as well but wouldn't have one because of the size, but they are nice.

That looks pretty cool. But you've got to go Bronco for this class of truck. The Blazer is longer and wider and not as capable off road. It does have live axles compared to the Bronco's TT setup at the front, but Bronco > Blazer
