My "kids dick" is doing fine - a seriously traumatic experience though easier as a father than an observer as you have to toughen up for your "kid with a chopped dick". Not sure that I really 'get it'.

They are quite extreme. Although of little consequence, there are some quite odious religious characters in Israel. Luckily, they carry little weight with the masses.

And? There are up to roughly 18m adherents to Judaism in the world, compared to 1.2 billion for Islam. If Christianity involved circumcision there'd be more circumcised Christians than any other religion.

But that's completely irrelevant to the topic anyway, the men in the article are not Muslim, they are Jewish, and they are acting in a stupid manner, deserving of laughter and derision from any culture that has moved on from the values of the stone age.

Rates have dropped in the US from over 90% 20 years ago to 55% in 2008. They are slowly waking up to the fact its totally unnecessary, although doctors are keen to push parents to do it.

I'd wager that within 10 years rates in the US will have dropped to almost zero, with only religious types continuing this barbaric practice.

As for the Yanks, it's not like you're forcing disease immunisation on an infant for their own benefit or the greater good of herd immunity, you're mutilating probably the most personal and private part of a man's body, something that he'll have to live with all his life, more often than not for no other reason than it's fashionable or "the done thing" if you adhere to a particular faith.
