Which pond filter?
Discussion
For quite a while now my garden pond has been green, which I think could be because my uv filter is shot.
I've had it for six years and I'm pretty sure water has got into the electrics a few times when I've changed the uv lamp.
In replacing it I'm wondering whether I should get a more powerful one as my pond is quite heavily stocked with goldfish and one koi.
Does the number of fish affect what size filter you should have? Or is it based purely on pond water volume?
And also, I was advised that when I replace the foams in my filter I don't replace them all at once, but stagger them a week apart. With a new filter it will have all new foams. WIll this be okay for the fish?
My current filter is a Hozelock Bioforce 2200, with a Hozeock Titan 2000 pump in the pond.
Cheers
