Exhaust options for 325ci sport
Discussion
Hello all,
Recently purchased a 325 sport,I love the car but I feel the exhaust lets it down slightly. What are the best all round exhaust options for this straight six.Would love a low throatier burble at low rpm and idle but would like a screamer if pushed.Im leaning toward an Eisenmann but dont know if I should get the sport or the race model.
Any experience of Eisenmann and do ye have any other ideas please?
Frank

Hi Frank,
Had the exact same predicament with my 02 325 Sport.. Lovely engine, just too muted when giving it the beans. After 2½ happy years of ownership I finally took the plunge.
Spent months watching Youtube videos and researching different companies (found limited options from the usual off the shelf manufacturers i.e Milltek for the 325, as only the 330 catered for) until I stumbled across a company called Blueflame.
They do a CAT back s/s system specifically designed for the E46 325 Coupe. It’s a twin 2.75/3" (can't quite remember) system with a fairly similar looking tailpipe set up to OEM.
In a nutshell I love it. It has a lovely deep burble at idle.. Absolutely sings as the revs climb, but most importantly (for me anyway) at 70-80 on the motorway you'd never know it was there.
I traveled from Berkshire up to their head office just outside Liverpool (Skelmersdale?) to have it fitted at the factory (piece of mind), although they will post items to be fitted at a regular/competent exhaust center.
Defo worth a look before any decisions are made.
Cheers
Ben
