My son (3 yrs old) has broken one of the cup holders (that spring out from the dash).

Anyone any experience of replacing these? DIY or garage job.

It's not a massive priority but it makes the dash look a bit crap with it sticking out all the time.

Definitely DIY... It's either a pop out job, or maybe one or two screws. When I changed the trim in my E39 I had the things in and out many times - 2 minute job.

Couple of screws from memory. Buy the new one and you will be able to see where the screw locations are.

Swapped mine as they were a bit crappy, I found trimming the 'nobble' of the top left of the moulding helped it fit in better as it wouldn't sit flush otherwise.

It's OK - I sold both kids to a lovely camel trader whom knocked on the door this week. So no more cup holder incidents for me then....!

The back ones can be replaced with a coin tray as it is only a matter of time before the rear one break.
